Bearcats win again

I am wondering how far they will drop this week....How do they drop after last week anyway? I guess the computer doesn't take into account that the Bearcats are playing with their backup qb...The BCS is a joke, they need to go to a playoff system, and let the strong survive..

Bearcats win again

This certainly was an important win for the Bearcats.  Rutgers isn't the team they were last year but what stands out is that Cincy doesn't seem to be having the let down other teams ranked high have experienced.  The win today shows that the Bearcats are a strong team and they are on a mission.  Coach Kelly is proving to the Nation that he knows how to put together a team that is solid on offense and defense.  The second string QB could be a started at other schools.  The Bearcats won't drop this week and perhaps will go up one in the polls.  Look for Cincinnati to rise to #7 and possibly #6.

Bearcats win again

As the announcer on ESPNU said today - there is a bias against the Big East in the BCS poll.  As in any computer model, garbage in garbage out.  I think they'll drop in the BCS this week.

Bearcats win again

I really don't see how they could rise in the polls this week.  Iowa won, Boise is winning.  I'm not sure what you mean that the 'Cats are on a mission.  And they didn't play Rutgers today.  It was Syracuse.  I think that shows the Comment "score" and "reputation level" are not based on anything credible.

Bearcats win again

What I like about Kelly, is the fact that he is talking long term with everything....He will have,(and has had) offers to move, but hasn't yet. I also like the fact that he recruits the hell out of the local high schools, and has Colerains' former head coach on his staff ....This area is a powerhouse of high school football, and he is taking some of the kids away from the OTHER school up north...

Bearcats win again

Swamil.. Didn't have time to read your comment until today. The Bearcats in fact did go to #5 even higher than I thought they would. The mission is to bring the Big East Conference into the equation. If they continue winning and Pitts continues to win the Big East will have two very good schools. That is where it all begins. Also the fact that Cincy won last year in a BCS game builds the credentials for being respected and ranked.  This week the win was only by 7 so that will likely hurt in the eyes of those pulling for Boise State and TCU but in the end, a win is a win.  Cincy is in a good position to be there if say an Alabama stumbles at Auburn.  Gotta run.
